Expertise: Extensive experience in contentious and non – contentious corporate and commercial law matters, his particular expertise being in matters of the Greek S.A, where he has published extensively. Regularly instructed to advise and represent national and international clients and acted in a wide range of business disputes and shipping law matters. Heavily involved in civil and commercial litigation, representing individuals as well as corporations. Strong litigation record especially in banking law. Focuses also on shipping law, having both extensive experience of non contentious matters (shipping finance, sale & purchase etc.) and litigation (maritime commercial disputes, mainly defence of cargo claims and workers' compensation).

Experience: Initially (between 1993 and 1996) an associate for Sarantitis & Partners law firm, specializing in drafting and negotiating loan documentation with lenders and borrowers both in marine matters and on advising on sale and purchase, simple and structured financings and refinancings of all types of vessels. As an associate routinely asked to render charter drafting, negotiation and consulting. Furthermore, involved in various matters of Greek company law. For the last 15 years, representing before the courts of Athens the National Bank of Greece (NBG), dealing mainly with the bank’s claims against debtors and with defending bank against law suits. Advising NBG on a wide range of banking law matters and on lease agreements, property rights, sale of shares etc. Represented and advised NBG on legal matters related to enforcement on land and large estate. Involved in a high profile case of shareholders’ disputes of a major Greek corporate group. Advised and represented individuals and foreign corporations - shareholders before the Courts of Athens, handling matters of annulment of shareholder’s and Board of Director’s meetings of a number of well known Greek Corporations. In this context the first known Greek Court decision was reached in favor of clients for the annulment of a contract of Merger involving a corporation with shares in the Athens Stock Exchange, a matter which attracted extensive publication in the Greek press. For over 18 years the exclusive Greek legal advisor of Firodi Shipping Company, a foreign maritime corporation established in Greece and of the foreign companies that Firodi manages, advising on all its legal issues. Equally the lawyer of a large number of foreign - mainly ship owning - companies connected to Firodi, attending matters regarding the establishment and the organization of the Corporate structure of such companies, as well as advising on charter parties, shipping finance, marine insurance and sale and purchase of vessels, both in relation to drafting and problem-solving. Experience in collision, personal injury defence and cargo claim matters. His academic experience includes having been a lecturer of Commercial Law at the Law School of Athens.
